Sunday, March 24

Our trip started comfortably for two reasons: we decided to use only carry-one, allowing us to leave later for the airport; and our flight schedule was shifted an hour thanks to the U.S. springing forward to daylight savings time a few weeks ahead of Europe! This allowed for our Uber to not get until 8am.

After a nice trip to the airport with a Polish Uber driver, we had an uneventful airport experience, boarding and flight. We were able to switch and all sit together, and we kept ourselves busy with movies and relaxing. We got to London a full our earlier than expected, and we Ubered to our London hotel near the British Museum by 11pm.

Excited to be in London, we made the group decision to head out into London’s quiet Sunday night streets and we worked our way to Big Ben – coming into plain sight across the street from it exactly as it struck midnight! This was an incredible moment and a big success of a smooth travel day. We worked our way back to our hotel after our 3-mile walk and went to bed shortly after 1am.
