After months of planning for and preparing countless aspects of our biking adventure to the Netherlands and Belgium, the start of our trip finally arrived today!
The first hurdle we needed to clear was the first leg of travel: getting us and our three bike boxes to the airport. We called an UberXL, but the fit was extremely tight, and our three bike boxes barely worked with his seat folded down. So Noah sat on my lap in the backseat while Tammy sat in front. It worked well.

At the airport, we found a flat bed cart, United’s ticket counter for priority members helped us get our bike boxes checked in, and we headed to Chili’s for a late lunch since we’d arrived 3 hours before our flight. Then it was time to board our flight and get comfortable, and try to sleep (which didn’t work so well).
